HOW THE INSTITUTION IS PLANNED
Where contributions go
How early contributions support the mission and future patient resources.
The Phase 0 allocation
For the initial $100 contribution, $10 is allocated to future patient needs and $90 supports operations and research. Payment-processing fees come from the $90 operating share. Operations include the founding team, essential systems, research infrastructure and the work needed to establish the institution. As resources grow, we plan to increase the share allocated to future patient needs where practical. Neither investment growth nor an eventual intervention is guaranteed.
The work it supports
The institution needs people and infrastructure to pursue its mission. Operating costs include founding-team and staff compensation, administration, technology, financial systems and research infrastructure. We intend to report material spending while protecting personal data, technology assets and legitimate confidential work.
What remains for the future
A contribution record shows what someone supplied. Continuity resources are the assets still available for future needs. Money already used to build the institution cannot simultaneously sit in a patient reserve. Some future returns are intended to remain in continuity resources; the precise retained-return rule will be disclosed when adopted.
How allocation may evolve
We plan to allocate a larger share of new contributions to future patient needs as participation and institutional capacity grow, where practical. Contribution bands and phase thresholds can change prospectively. The rule applying to each accepted contribution remains part of its record.
Participation and later financing
The initial $100 patient participation is not a conventional investment product: it does not carry shares, dividends, interest or a right to sell a token. Commercial investments, mission businesses and a possible future token offering are separate possibilities. If pursued, their terms and applicable rules would be set out separately. They would be intended to expand the institution’s ability to research and serve patients.
